Therapy, also called psychotherapy or personal Counselling with a therapist is an effective treatment approach for mental, emotional and behavioral dysfunctions manifesting in symptoms that may negatively affect our personality, self-esteem, confidence, relationship, family, job, health, mental health, and more. Therapist employs a wide range of techniques based on experiential relationship building, effective communication/active listening and behavior change that are designed to improve the mental health of a client or patient, or to improve group relationships (such as in a family).

Therapy can be enjoyed online (Virtual) and/or face-to-face (physical). The client has the options to choose the best that will suit his/her needs. Online /Virtual therapy – is done via real-time video calls from anywhere in the world. Face-to-face/physical – is done in the office. Face-to-face therapy is the traditional means of delivering therapy. The therapy process involves you and your treatment provider in the same office space. Therapy Approaches are based on your personal and unique needs and goals, our therapeutic approach could be a standalone or integrated approach involving. Examples of psychotherapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Trait-Factor Counseling Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Existential Therapy and among others.


Trauma-Focused Therapy is an evidenced-based approach to therapy that recognizes and emphasizes understanding how the traumatic experience (past and present) impacts an individual’s mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Traumatic events include experiencing and/or witnessing any form of abuse (physical, emotional, verbal and sexual), natural disasters, violent crimes or death of a loved.


These traumas can lead to some serious psychological challenges that can negatively impact a person’s wellbeing. The psychological effects of trauma can be salient or profound with symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma and stressor related disorders, Adjustment disorders, Depression, Anxiety, problems with relationships and intimacy, poor work/ school performance, truancy, self-harm behaviors and low self-esteem. The purpose is to offer skills and strategies to individuals (both children and adults) in better understanding, coping with, processing emotions and memories linked to traumatic experiences which enables the individual to create a healthier and more adaptive meaning to life.
